I feel like high schools should really teach this: the recovery position. It’s a pose you can put someone in if they pass out from taking too much alcohol or some sort of drug. It prevents this from choking on their own vomit. So yea, it’s super important to know if you’re around people who drink/use to excess. Mind you, you should NOT just abandon someone in this position and go on your way, if they pass out it’s best to stay with them until they sober up or call an ambulance if they appear to get worse.
